Francis Magundayao on rumored sex tape: ‘Someone’s trying to break me down’

I am actually thankful and I appreciate that I was nominated.’After playing one of the lead characters in the 2013 fantaserye Aryana, Francis said he did not mind playing a support character in the recently concluded <a href='http://entertainment2.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/andiloveyouso/main'>And I Love You So</a>. “I trust the decision of the management. I trust whatever decision they make. Ang sa akin lang I should just make my mark kahit maliit siya kasi I believe that there’s no small characters just small actors so I’m trying my best everyday in every show to be a great actor in every way. Lumalabas ako sa And I Love You So pag hapon with Julia Barretto, Inigo Pascual and Miles Ocampo. I’m happy dahil natapos kami with flying colors meaning hindi kami pinabayaan ng fans. From the start of the show hanggang sa end ng show at sinubaybayan nila ang bawat character, bawat story kahit maliit man ang actor or malaki siya. Sinuportahan nila kami and I’m very honored and humbled na natapos kami with good results. I played Otep, isa ako sa mga friends ni Inigo Pascual at meron akong pagtingin kay Miles Ocampo,” he shared.Having been in the industry for four years already, Francis said he has had his share of career highs and lows. 'Well siyempre tao lang ako. May mga times na parang napapatahimik lang ako, I just look at myself in the mirror, I’m questioning myself is it right? Is it bad? At the end of the day I just pray. I ask for guidance. I talk to my parents and so far dun ko siya na-ha-handle by talking to my parents and my supporters, my fans, and the people who are really close to me. I talk to them and get strength from them,” he admitted.One of the biggest challenges of his career was a rumored sex video which he has always denied. 'Sinisira lang nila ako. It’s really unfair but we don’t focus on those things kasi hindi naman siya importante eh. Kung tutuusin kung talagang maayos kang tao hindi mo pagtutuunan ng pansin ang mga ganong bagay. Instead, kung talagang matalino ka at sumusunod ka sa utos ng Diyos you would stand on the right path and shove off everything that’s negative coming from other people kahit kaaway mo siya. All I can say about that is in showbiz marami talagang maninira sa iyo for sure. Kahit magaling kang aktor, even if you think you’re a good person in general, someone will still try to break you down and someone’s trying to break me down right now. I can say na lagi niya akong tinitira. I’m a victim but hindi ako nagpapaawa. Hindi ako lumalabas na kawawa because I know I’m confident in myself na hindi ko kaya gawin yun,” he explained.The 16-year-old actor said he does not let the issue affect him anymore. 'I’m just trying to keep positive with every outcome kahit bad, kahit good. I’m just trying to be positive in every way. Sinusubukan ko muna i-brush off kasi it doesn’t really matter. It’s a waste of time. So kung negative outcome siya, negative issue, you just brush it off. Just walk with your head up high. I’m not shaken, not at all. I’m definitely not shaken because I’m sure madaming tao ang nag-su-support sa akin kahit showbiz or non-showbiz,” he said.Francis said his fans are a major source of comfort. 'I believe that my fans are already standing by my side. I think that’s enough already. All I can say is kung sino man gumagawa sa akin nun at sa mga ibang artista, that’s not right. Bahala na ang Diyos sa inyo and I’m just going to stand here and be confident dahil alam ko kasi ang totoo,” he added.Francis also revealed why he did not sue those who started the malicious rumor about him. 'Feeling ko lang kasi parang nakakaubos ng oras. Pinatawad ko na siya eh. Kahit hindi ko siya kilala, hindi ko alam ang pangalan niya, hindi ko alam mukha niya or kung ano gender niya, kung sino man nang-aaway sa akin at sa mga ibang artista.
