Jolina Magdangal says she’s still in denial of Direk Wenn Deramas’ passing
030116-jolina1_main.jpgKapamilya actress and recording artist Jolina Magdangal broke down into tears as she remembered the late director Wenn Deramas during the press conference and launching of her album, Back To Love this Tuesday afternoon, March 1.

When asked if there is a song in her album which she can dedicate to Direk Wenn, Jolina casually answered “Ganito Pala Ang Pag-ibig.” However, when she began explaining why, she started to cry. Direk Wenn was the one who directed Flordeliza, Jolina’s comeback teleserye in ABS-CBN in 2014.

Later, the singer said that until now, she cannot believe that Direk Wenn had passed away last February 29 because of a heart attack.

After recalling her fond memories of the director, Jolina also narrated how she learned about Direk Wenn’s passing.

“Tulog kami no’n.

When her husband Mark was able to confirm the news through social networking sites, Jolina recalled feeling heavy, calling her colleagues then breaking into tears.

Speaking in between tears, Jolina continued, “Parang ayoko pa rin maniwala kagabi kahit nakauwi na ako…

Pano ‘yung dalawang anak niya? Kawawa naman ‘yung mga anak niya dahil bata pa nila,” Jolina added, describing how generous Direk Wenn was.

Lastly, Jolina praised Direk Wenn’s creativity and said that the late director was among the people she sought for advice when it comes to her career choices.

Apart from Flordeliza, Direk Wenn was also the director of Jolina’s 2002 movie, Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip.
