EXCLUSIVE: Bangs Garcia is excited about her first solo art exhibit in the US
021816-bangs1_main.jpgDuring the recent launch of the upcoming TV5 series Ang Panday, Bangs Garcia shared the reason she decided to change management after almost a decade of being under Star Magic. The 28-year-old actress is now signed under Viva. "Kasi they offered me to release an album. Actually they released my first single na pero hindi pa nag-lo-launch. I don’t know what’s happening but nagkaroon ng delay,” she admitted.

Bangs will be playing one of the leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez in the newest remake of the fantasy series. She said she is also lined up to do more big screen projects which have yet to be finalized. "Yes plus they also offered me ten movies. So it’s supposed to be two movies each year pero mag-wa-one year na ako sa kanila so they owe me four movies this year! (laughs) Hopefully magawa namin yung four this year,” she admitted.

In the series, Bangs will play the daughter of Regine Tolentino, a witch doctor. “Mabait talaga ako pero magkakaroon ng twist. Kasi yung mommy ko talaga yung masama si Morgana so may chance na maging bad ako in the modern world. Pero sa world two sa nakaraan talagang mabait ako and we fell in love with each other kami ni Richard Gutierrez,” she added.

After getting engaged in Boracay to her Fil-British fiance on New Year’s Day, Bangs said their wedding is not going to happen until January 2017. They plan to get hitched in Boracay as well. "Kinausap niya yung parents ko before siya nag-propose sa akin. He’s very, very understanding. He is not about wanting to take away what I have built here. He’s from London and he’s half-British. He supports me and actually since he’s a property developer, he says if I really have to stay here for a while even when we get married, he’s willing to move to the Philippines for me. He plans to have a house here and in London so we can go back and forth. He says we can live wherever I want. He’s very supportive. Ganun siya ka-supportive. He’s coming here March 1 so hindi kami magka-date sa Valentine's so sa Skype na lang (laughs).”

After marriage, Bangs said having kids is not in the cards just yet. "Huwag muna kasi we just want to get married. Gusto namin maramdaman yung relationship namin as a couple na walang ibang responsibilities and we also want to travel the world ng wala munang inaalalang mga bata. There’s always time for that. But not yet. Pero mahilig talaga kami sa bata. We’re very excited and lahat ng tao excited na makita ang baby namin,” she said.

Even with a busy work schedule this year, Bangs said she is looking forward to exhibiting her paintings abroad later this year. "I might have an exhibit in Los Angeles. I’ll go to Los Angeles this May to check the gallery so within the year. Long story kasi. I might be part of a film where the executive producer na nakahanap sa akin, they also own two art galleries in Hollywood. So nung nalaman nila na nag-pe-paint ako… It might be my solo exhibit so kahit anong gusto kong i-display, I can do anything I want,” she shared.
