Julia Barretto wants father Dennis Padilla to be proud of her in ‘Vince and Kath and James’

<img src='' alt='120716-JuliaBarretto_PUSH.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>With her first time to have a movie that is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival, Julia Barretto and her family will be spending Christmas with fans as they will be touring around cinemas to watch her movie Vince and Kath and James.As Julia mentioned her whole family was going to be with her during the tour, she was asked if her father, actor Dennis Padilla, would be joining them. “Sana. Sana may time siya for me… Baka busy. Ewan ko. Tignan natin po. Pero siyempre iinvite ko siya kasi this is a rom-com and my dad is a comedian so siyempre gusto kong makakuha ng reaction, ng advice galing sa kanya. Siyempre gusto ko rin na maging proud ‘yung dad ko sa first-ever comedy ko,” Julia told members of the entertainment media during the grand press conference for the Star Cinema movie.In an interview with reporters after the event, Julia said that she did not ask for tips from her father while doing the movie as she wants to surprise him. “Gusto ko makita niya ‘yung finished product tapos ‘dun na siya magbigay ng comments niya right after but sana I make my mom and my dad proud because it’s my first role na ganito and they both, wala silang clue, even my mom (Marjorie Barretto). Wala siyang idea kung ano ‘yung character ko dito, ‘yung story that’s why she’s so excited to watch,” she said.“I hope so. Let’s see. He has his own family na rin so I don’t know if he’s going to be pending it with them. At least we’re all okay.“Everything is so much better than it was before. Baby steps talaga ‘yan and he’s still my father at the end of the day so syempre mahal ko pa rin talaga,” Julia said.
