Remember how actress Liza Soberano trended online as she earned praises for her look during this year’s Star Magic Ball?
Liza admitted that she actually thought she will get bashed for it.
Talking to reporters during her launch as TechnoMarine’s new endorser on Saturday, December 3, Liza said that she felt overwhelmed with the support she received.
“I really didn’t expect it. I thought it was going to be bashed actually because it really wasn’t planned. Everything. The hair, the make-up, the look. We planned it on the day itself. Actually, we didn’t have a plan at all. I just said, put my hair up tapos mamaya maya, inayos ng hairstylist ko ‘yung bangs ko and then, the gown nga, I only saw the night before the ball so we were really nervous about it. But at least we were all able to pull it off. I’m really proud of my glam team because they really helped me out and they made me feel beautiful that night.”
When asked if she now feels the pressure to impress, Liza said that she is not conscious about it, adding that she prefers to dress up comfortably.
Meanwhile, Liza was among the latest batch of artists, which included veteran personalities like Pepe Smith, Ted Failon, John Arcilla, Angelica Panganiban, Shaina Magdayao and Jodi Sta. Maria, who were given their own stars at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame last December 1.
Liza described the experience as fun and different, “I got to walk (in) the Walk of Fame and it just feels different that I saw my name and my star next to all these other big stars, these legendary people.”
Likewise, she added, “I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just… I don’t know why. I never really expected it to become or for me to be that successful to actually be this big to other people so I just feel happy and blessed.”
