Actress Ruffa Gutierrez stressed the importance of hard work as she recalled how her celebrity parents Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez sold cooking pots for a living when they were in the United States.
“Actually, importante sa’tin talaga, marunong tayong maghanapbuhay. Maging masipag tayo because hindi naman forever we’re always on top. Minsan nasa taas tayo, minsan dumadaan tayo ng crisis so kailangan ‘pag dumaan tayo ng crisis sa buhay, handa tayo,” she said.
Ruffa also recalled that her parents would give her $5 allowance whenever they get to sell a kaldero. She would then become so happy and grateful.
“Ang tawag kay daddy no’n, ‘Kaldero King.’ So nakatulong din sa kanya ‘yung pagiging artista niya,” she said.
“I think it’s very important talaga na meron tayong sariling trabaho. Especially sa atin, di ba? Artista tayo, minsan marami tayong project, minsan wala talaga. When it rains, it pours. Minsan drought. So kailangan ‘pag drought, meron tayong inaasikaso,” the former beauty queen added.
Currently, Ruffa has a health and wellness business. She said that she is also looking at investing in a restaurant next year.
