Dinaluhan ng maninining na bituin ng ibat ibang pelikulang kalahok ang Gabi ng Parangal ng 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival sa Kia Theater.
Inulan man ng kontrobersya ang selebrasyon ngayong taon, maituturing padin na naging matagumpay ang taunang film fest dahil sa naging mainit na pagtanggap ng mga movie goers dito.
Ngayong taon, itinanghal bilang Best Actress si Irma Adlawan para sa kanyang pag ganap sa pelikulang "Oro."
Best Actor naman ang Makeup Transformation King na si Paolo Ballesteros para sa kanyang pag ganap sa pelikulang "Die Beautiful" na humakot din ng parangal gaya ng Best Float at People's Choice.
Childrens Choice Award, Best Editing at Best Picture naman ang naiuwi ng documentary film na "Sunday Beauty Queen."
Best Director naman for two consecutive years si Erik Matti, this time para sa kanyang horror film na "Seklusyon." Humakot din ng ibang parangal ang "Seklusyon" gaya ng Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design at Children's Choice Award.
