Film Development Council of the Philippines chairman Liza Diño doesn’t see anything wrong with Mocha Uson’s selection as one of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival’s ambassadors.
Liza took to her Facebook account to explain what made the MMFF executive committee choose the controversial personality.
“Alam naman nating lahat na marami s'yang followers so since very unorthodox din ang mga marketing strategies ngayon to promote the film festival itself, malaking tulong ang pagpromote nya sa mga pelikulang kalahok,” she said.
“Walang masama to give value to her social media influence,” she continued.
The Toto actress also underscored that Mocha “believes in the vision of MMFF.”
“Of course, who would not welcome anyone who supports the film fest? Our vision is towards diversity and inclusivity,” she reiterated.
Mocha recently shared about how MMFF Chairman Tim Orbos personally reached out to her to be the festival’s ambassador.
