After his last appearance on 2015 TV series “All of Me,” JM de Guzman is back to acting through the musical play “Sweeney Todd,” which is based on the 2007 film “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” The actor allegedly took a hiatus from showbiz for the second time to enter a rehab facility.
JM posted his performance on Instagram and shared a clip of him singing “Not While I’m Around.”
This was an intimate performance attended by JM’s family and friends including actress Meg Imperial. His father Ronniel de Guzman also sent a statement to ABS-CBN News reporter Mario Dumaual, thanking those who continuously support his son.
“The entire de Guzman family is thankful to all those who supported JM in his latest stage endeavor. The presentation directed by Fritz Ynfante saw JM utilizing anew his singing and acting talents.
“We are proud that JM got preoccupied with another artistic project where he displayed innate talent.
“A number of people in and out of showbiz have constantly been supporting JM and we are very grateful to them."
JM took a Certificate in Theater Arts, majoring in Performance Studies in University of the Philippines and became an apprentice in Dulaang UP.
