The “Mano Po 7: Chinoy” actor says he is happy for his former love team partner’s success.
With his onscreen reunion with former love team partner Janella Salvador in “Mano Po 7: Chinoy,” Marlo Mortel shared he is happy to still feel the love and support from their fans from their previous projects together like “Be Careful With My Heart” and the 2015 MMFF horror hit “Haunted Mansion.”
“Kahit sino naman siguro, dapat thankful ka pa nga na pinili ka for “Mano Po.” Siyempre natututuwa ako kasi yung mga fans naniniwala sila sa amin ni Janella eh and madami pa din kaming fans up to now na nakikita na may chemistry ka-mi. Natutuwa naman ako na nakikita nila yun dahil effort din naman namin yun together.
“Tulad nga ng sabi nila, pag magkasama kami may something. Although hindi man romantically or what in real life di ba, on screen naman meron kaming something together na kaya tinangkilik yung ‘Haunted Mansion,’” he comment-ed.
The 23-year-old actor said he did not have any ill feelings when Janella was partnered with new Kapamilya Elmo Magalona in a series earlier this year.
“Wala, walang problema. Friends ako with Elmo and Janella. Pareho pa kami ng handler kaming tatlo so happy naman ako kapag kaming lahat we’re trying our best to make it in the business so kung ano man ang mangyari, kahit hindi kami magkasama or magkasama, basta maging successful ang bawat isa, happy ako para sa kanila,” he admitted.
Despite their separate projects, Marlo still hopes he can still be given a chance to be part of a love team project.
"Sana mabigyan ako ng chance, na kundi man with Janella, pero I would love to work with Janella again. Kahit ibang love team okay naman ako. I’m open to that,” he said.
For 2017, Marlo says he will do his best to prove that he has the potential to do more in showbiz. "Sa ngayon wala pa naman projects. ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ pa rin and hopefully after this mabigyan na ako ng chance to finally show my talent kasi naniniwala naman ako na madami akong kayang i-offer eh. I can sing, dance, and act. Tapos last year nag-Best New Actor pa ako. I just need the right time. Ako naman hindi naman ako atat eh. Naghihintay lang ako ng tamang break para sa akin na ma-i-share yung talent ko,” he remarked.
