Ian Veneracion reveals ‘greatest misconception’ about new leading lady Bea Alonzo

121716-ALoveToLast_PUSH.jpgIan Veneracion did not bat an eyelash when he revealed his negative misconceptions about his new leading lady Bea Alonzo.

The actor openly talked about how much they’ve been wanting to work with each other during their upcoming show A Love to Last’s recently-concluded press conference.

But many were shocked when Ian revealed what he initially thought of Bea.

“You know, pa-superstar kasi everyone treats her like a queen. You know, ang impression ko noong una, 'A, maarte 'to, feeling superstar 'to,'” he shared.

But all his misconceptions about Bea were proven wrong after they started working on the soap.

“Yun ang akala ko. Pero sobrang mali pala ako kasi sobrang down-to-earth niya,” he said.

But that made him think of her that way?

“Iniisip ko lang, I mean, matagal na sa showbiz, tapos hindi ko naman siya kilala. Yun nga, because everybody treats her a certain way. Hindi mo naman maiiwasan na sometimes you actually believe that you're special because everybody treats you na ganun,” he quickly explained.

But he continued, “Pero yun nga, sandali lang, in just a few minutes, nakita ko na, 'Ay, okay pala siya.'”

The actress for her part, revealed that she initially thought that Ian, whom she calls “Papa I,” was the shy type.

“Noong una, alam ko na mukha siyang matalinong tao, para siyang mahiyain. Nagkamali ako. Joke!” she joked.

“Hindi, hindi ako nagkamali, masarap siyang kakuwentuhan,” she said, adding that “Pero noong umpisa, para siyang mahiyain.”

If anything, Bea said she easily connected with Ian.

“Parang may connection agad, hindi mo kailangang ipilit. Di ba, ganun daw ang friendship, hindi pinipilit, hindi pinipili, so parang ganun yung kay Papa I,” Bea said.

Catch Bea and Ian on their first-ever soap together titled A Love to Last together with their co-stars Iza Calzado, Enchong Dee, Julia Barretto, Ronnie Alonte and Hanna Vito. The soap premieres on primetime starting this January 9.
