EXCLUSIVE: Ogie Alcasid reveals the quality he looks for in a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant

<img src='' alt='121416-OgieAlcasid_PUSH.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Veteran singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid surprised the madlang pipol when he was introduced as the newest judge of <a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/itsshowtime/main'>It’s Showtime’s</a> famed singing contest<a href='http://entertainment2.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/TawagNgTanghalan/main'> Tawag ng Tanghalan</a> on Saturday, December 10.Describing his experience judging for the first time as fun, Ogie told<a href='www.push.com.ph'> PUSH.com.ph </a>that he is having a great time.He said, “I’m happy that I’m working with Rey (Valera) and of course, the young guys – sina Kyla, sina K (Brosas), everybody… And siyempre, to be working with sina Vice (Ganda), Vhong (Navarro).”As a judge, Ogie will be working with head juror Rey Valera, Kyla, K Brosas, Jaya, Karla Estrada, and Yeng Constantino, among others. As to the quality that he looks for in a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant, Ogie said, “Siyempre, someone who’s going to blow us away. Someone who’s going to inspire us.” While there is still no announcement whether Ogie is now an official Kapamilya, he is set to become one of the judges of Your Face Sounds Familiar celebrity kids’ edition next year.

As a judge, Ogie will be working with head juror Rey Valera, Kyla, K Brosas, Jaya, Karla Estrada, and Yeng Constantino, among others. As to the quality that he looks for in a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant, Ogie said, “Siyempre, someone who’s going to blow us away.
