Exclusive: Kisses Delavin on her ASAP Pop Sweetheart award: ‘Hindi ako makapaniwala’

Not me, it’s them. Sila po ‘yung nagbigay sa akin ng award na ‘yun. Sobrang thankful ako kasi hindi ko talaga ineexpect ‘yung mga nangyari,” she tearfully said. According to Kisses, she became emotional as she really cannot believe what happened considering that she was only an ‘extra’ before. “I was very emotional kasi hindi talaga ako makapaniwala po kasi naaalala ko pa noong dati, nag-e-extra lang ako sa Pangako Sa ‘Yo, kasama ko pa ‘nun si Andrea Brillantes,” she shared. Recalling that she would audition and would be rejected several time, Kisses said, “Parang lahat ng kalungkutan ko dati ‘nung hindi pa ako nakukuha, ngayon parang binabalik sa’kin lahat ng kasiyahan na dapat na-feel ko dati kaya masayang masaya.”Reiterating how happy she is, Kisses also could not help but mention how she felt when Sarah Geronimo gave her the award. She said all she really wanted that day was to have a picture with the Popstar Royalty.In the end, Kisses emphasized no matter how many awards she will win, it will always be because of her supporters. “Pero ‘yun, as always, I think na kahit ilang award pa, kahit magkaroon pa ako ng isang award if ever, I will always think na it’s not me, it’s the people who vote for me kasi wala talagang special sa akin. It’s just that the people, they vote for me. They’re the reason I’m here and they’re the reason kung mag-iistay pa ako sa any endeavor na pupuntahan ko. Never talaga ako mag-iisip na kumpetisyon ‘to. I’ll just enjoy every single moment,” Kisses said.
