With both their roots in studying theater arts in the University of the Philippines, stage actress Joan Kristine “Teetin” Villanueva detailed how Till I Met You actor JC Santos courted her in the current issue of Starstudio magazine. “Si JC, hindi marunong manligaw. Tameme siya. Pero sabi niya sa akin lang. Hindi niya alam kung ano sasabhihin at hindi siya makatingin ng eye to eye. Lagi lang siyang andiyan. For some reason, he just pops up na parang stalker,” she shared with Starstudio.
Even before JC joined Till I Met You, Teetin said she already appeared in ABS-CBN shows like Oh My G! and Be My Lady. These experiences helped in her understanding how busy JC’s taping schedule currently is. She said JC and her have always been supportive of each other’s projects. “Humihingi kami ng notes from each other. We say na, ‘I know you love me, but let me know if you see any holes sa performances.’ Buti na lang, I know a little bit about his work,” she said.
Even when JC first accepted the role as the central gay character in the Jadine soap, Teetin said there was never any issue about it. In fact, their three -year relationship is testament to how serious they are with each other. “I think sumakto yung time na nag-meet kami sa period in our lives na ayaw na namin ng lokohan. Ayaw namin masaktan. Sinabi niya rin yun sa akin. Wala siyang planong lokohin ako and he wants to take care of me. I wanted to make sure, so kunwari wala akong pakialam,” she admitted.
