Robin Padilla shared the full letter of proposal from ABS-CBN executive Linggit Tan for an appointment schedule with the consul general appealing for the reconsideration of the US visa application of the action star on Instagram.
The executive explained in the letter that Robin is requesting for special approval to get a tourist visa to be able to accompany his wife Mariel Rodriguez, who’s an American citizen and will be giving birth in the US anytime soon.
Robin has difficulty fixing papers going abroad after he was convicted in 1994 for possession of illegal firearms but Ms. Tan attested to actor’s good behavior.
“I have known Mr. Padilla since he was a teen-ager as a newcomer in show business and we have worked together for the past 30 years. Thus, I can attest to his good nature and kind heart through the years.”
She also attached Robin’s exclusive contract with ABS-CBN until December 2017 proving that he would have to come back to the country to fulfill his commitments.
“We are having a television show featuring Mr. Padilla, this coming January 2017,” Linggit added.
Robin also gave an update saying he might have a last chance.
“Pareng (Jing Monis) may kalungkutan ang HUMANITARIAN PAROLE pero may last chance pa raw ako IN SHAA ALLAH,” a hopeful Robin wrote.
He then shared the message of their immigration lawyer Michael Gurfinkel to Mariel.
“I am sending in another request to the Embassy to urgently process Robin's visa, because you are already in the US, about to give birth, have a history of miscarriages, and desperately want him to be by your side. Besides, this request has been pending for over a year. Will keep you posted.”
