Nichole Manalo belatedly proclaimed as Miss Globe 2016 3rd runner up

112916-NicoleManalo_PUSH.jpg2016 Miss Globe Philippines Nichole Manalo expressed her gratitude for being the pageant’s third runner-up.

While some congratulated Nichole, there were those who got confused by her post especially since the earlier results of the Miss Globe pageant held in Albania did not include her among the roster of the winners.

Miss India Dimple Patel was crowned as Miss Globe 2016.

Nichole, meanwhile, was reported to have bagged the Dream Girl of the World award. She only made it to the Top 10.

However, in a video uploaded by Pageanthology 101 on November 27, National Director of Miss Canada Globe Mia Santa Ana Pilar proclaimed Philippines and South Africa as the pageant’s third and fourth runner ups, respectively.

Nichole was given a sash and crown in the video.

“To all my kababayans, I’m very much humbled to receive this crown but for me the great thing is that you have put faith in me and you were there with me through this journey and for that I’m very much grateful,” Nichole said.

The Miss Globe organizers also explained why Nichole’s proclamation came later.

“Just to explain to everybody why the third and the fourth runner up weren’t announced it was because the emcee forgot to take the third and fourth runner up envelope, which was already with the first and second runner up envelopes winner,” Mia explained.

Miss Globe president and owner Petri Bozo, who was also present in the proclamation video, apologized and explained that it was the emcee’s first time to host such show and that “there were too many emotions” at that time, hence the incident.

Mia likewise announced that Miss Globe Thailand won the Miss Internet award, which could’ve made her part of the Top 11.
