Nadine Lustre shares the newest change in her life this year.
Apart from starring in the Primetime Bida show Till I Met You, Nadine Lustre can also count being a new entrepreneur in her list of accomplishments. At her launch as the newest celebrity ambassador of Nails.Glow nail salon and spa, Nadine admitted she is both nervous and excited to become the brand’s youngest franchisee with plans to open her store in a mall in Quezon City by next year.
"Magsisimula pa lang ako. This is my first business. For now kasi I think perfect yung nail salon business kasi ako isa ako sa mga tao na gustong-gustong pumupunta sa nail salon nagpapalinis and everything. So naisip ko yung pinaka-kailangan ng mga tao ngayon. As much as I can mag-ha-hands on ako pero andiyan yung mom ko kung hindi ako puwede. Siya mismo talaga yung mag-ma-manage nun,” she shared during the Nails.Glow event last November 26 in Quezon City.
Nadine said she got inspired to try a business venture upon the guidance of her management. "I guess mentor ko si Boss Vic (Del Rosario of Viva). Siya ang nagsabi sa akin na mag-business para mag-grow yung pera ko,” she recalled.
The 23-year-old actress also admitted she goes to the nail salon at least once a week for some pampering. "OC ako so gusto ko palaging malinis. OC ako sa lahat ng bagay. Ayaw ni James (Reid) ng mahaba na nails kasi nakakakalmot di ba? Nakakalmot ko siya eh. Wala naman siyang reklamo (laughs),” she explained.
With her busy schedule with Till I Met You, Nadine shares how she motivates herself to do well in work. "Natutunan ko na it’s passion talaga and the drive to really work hard and mamahalin mo yung ginagawa mo. Gusto ibibigay ko talaga yung 110% sa lahat. Kami ni James have the same passion eh. Parehas kami ng dreams. Para kaming umaakyat ng bundok na pataas. Parang ganun yun,” she shared.
During the Nails.Glow presscon, members of the press noticed that Nadine kept touching her new necklace which she admitted came from James Reid. “It’s a birthday (gift) pero medyo natagalan kasi nga nag-Korea kami kaya pagbalik saka lang niya ata napuntahan. Hindi ko na tinanong, ayaw niya magkuwento eh (laughs),” she said.
Nadine also explained why she seems very attached to it already. "Kasi natatakot ako baka mawala. Very delicate kasi yung chain na, baka bigla na lang magulat ako wala na kaya palagi ko siyang chini-check,” she added.
After their teleserye received a summons from the MTRCB, Nadine said the cast and crew of TIMY are now more cautious in what sensitive scenes they decide to air. "Cautious? Well kung kailangan naman kasi talaga sa scene, kasi yun yung bumubuo ng story eh. Siguro nag-iingat na lang kmai ng konti alam mo yun? Pero na-re-review naman nila direk Tonette (Jadaone) so kung sa tingin nila super hindi na puwede or super sumosobra na, or super revealing na and all, super daring na, siyempre isi-screen na nila yun at tatanggalin na nila,” she explained.
The Nails.Glow endorser addressed a recent issue where Jadine fans petitioned for a TIMY bit player to be fired after he reportedly bashed Nadine on his social media accounts. "Well hindi ko alam eh. Kinuwento na lang nila sa akin. Ako naman parang deadma lang naman ako dun. Hindi ko naman masyado pinansin but parang sabi nila ang dami daw sinabi sabi about sa akin. So ang ginawa na lang ng Dreamscape parang tinanggal na lang nila kasi palagi kong makikita kasi palagi siyang andun but I can remember the last time na nagkita kami humingi pa siya sa akin ng video greeting eh,” she said.
For this coming Christmas, Nadine said she and James have no plans to go abroad. "When spending Christmas with my family, gusto ko simple lang so siguro dun lang kami sa bahay, dun na rin kami for the opening of the gifts. Kami ni James gusto naman namin talaga dito lang, as in simple lang. Tingnan natin (kung mag-a-abroad kami) pero gusto talaga namin dito lang sa Manila,” she said.
