Singer Jona held a successful first concert as a Kapamilya artist titled, Queen of the Night Jona at the Kia Theater on Friday, November 25.

PUSH.com.ph listed five concert moments that proved that Jona isn’t just a queen for the night but true music royalty.

1. When Jona nailed the #IDareJona challenge

Prior to the event, Jona asked her Twitter followers to request a song that they would like to hear her sing during the concert. Heeding the request of one lucky fan, Jona hit the high notes as she sang Mariah Carey’s “Mine Again.”

2. When Jona and Jed Madela gave a performance of “The Prayer”

A powerful combination, Jona and her guest artist “World Champion” Jed Madela performed Charlotte Church and Josh Groban’s “The Prayer.”

3. When Jona earned a standing ovation for singing “MacArthur Park”

Jona belting out Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park” only proved that she can do anything with her powerful vocals. It’s only natural that she earned a standing ovation from the audience.

4. When Jona hit the high notes with Adele’s songs

Saying that Adele is one of her musical influences, Jona did not hold back when she sang her songs “When We Were Young” and “Hello.”

5. When Regine Velasquez joined Jona in belting out ‘I Believe I Can Fly”

Jona and the ‘Asia’s Songbird’ Regine Velasquez’s interpretation of R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” made it even more sentimental as prior to their performance, Jona recalled how Regine would say she deserves to be heard in a bigger venue. She said now, it had finally happened.
