Catriona Gray hopes to duplicate Megan Young’s victory in Miss World 2016 pageant

This is the third year na since Megan (Young), because Megan was 2013, it’s 2016 na, so yeah, I would do my best po,” sey ng maganda at intelihenteng beauty queen.Kung saka-sakali man daw na hindi naman niya maiuwi ang pangalawang Miss World crown ng Pilipinas, handa naman daw siyang gumawa ng ibang bagay.“I’m a creative person, sana I get to pursue that whether it would be singing or maybe even acting,” kuwento niya.Ilang gowns ba ang dadalhin niya sa pageant?“I’m bringing, not including my fast tracks—kasi I have talent, and then I have top model, coronation, opening ceremony, so those are my fast tracks. Other than that, I have an eight bonggang-bonggang gowns. And then, I have really eight beautiful cocktail dresses, and then 10 medyo relax cocktail dresses.”Puro mga Pinoy designers din daw ang gumawa ng kanyang mga isusuot.“I have, of course, Francis Libiran, Nat Manilag, Edwin Tan, Rex Nicdao, Mac Tumang at iba pa. I have an assortment and I didn’t want to be lahat isang designer. I really wanted to showcase how artistic the Filipino is,” pagmamalaki pa niya.Sa palagay ba niya, she’s really destined to be a beauty queen?“Actually po, during this whole journey I’ve been so overwhelmed. I cried so much because I came from a place of doubt in my path in life kasi I’m 22, it’s kinda time of my life na I don’t really know where I’m going, what should I do, I have so many interests, there’s so many different paths I can take.“And then, parang on this journey, it feels like things have just fallen into place. Peope have been so generous and so kind. It’s really overwhelmed me talaga and I’m just so grateful because I really feel that this journey is bigger than me na,” pagtatapos ni Catriona.
