Jodi wore a white Mark Bumgarner creation at the International Emmy’s red carpet.
Jodi Sta. Maria, who has been nominated at the 44th Annual International Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Amor Powers in the remake of Pangako Sa’yo, failed to win the Best Actress award. Germany’s Christiane Paul won the coveted trophy for her role in Unterm Radar.
The Kapamilya TV series Bridges of Love, which starred Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and Paulo Avelino, was also unable to take home the Best Telenovela award which went to Brazil’s “Verdades Secretas.”
Before leaving New York, Jodi expressed that she’s very happy with her nomination and would be okay whatever the outcome of the awards ceremony would be.
“To be nominated alongside the great Judi Dench di ba parang sobrang honor na yun for me na kung sakali na palarin tyao di ba parang sobra sobrang bonus at blessing talaga yun. Pero yung ma-recognize lang, ma-nominate, okay na hindi ba? Kinikilabutan ako pag mini-mention ko na -a-attend ako sa November,” she remarked in a previous interview.
Jodi, nevertheless impressed at the red carpet, wearing a white ensemble by Mark Bumgarner which she said was a homage to her Pangako Sa ‘Yo character Amor Powers.
