Rocco Nacino admits he finds chinitas very attractive.
As part of the new barkada film Bar Boys, Rocco Nacino admitted he is proud of his latest project which also stars his best friend Enzo Pineda. "It’s really funny. It’s a really cute barkada film. It’s so fun to watch. Kami ni Enzo napanuod na namin yung first cut. It was so wonderful and relaxing to watch. Perfect for all students kahit hindi sa law. Basta barkada kayo ma-e-enjoy niyo ito. Kasi there’s always that one know-it-all, one clown, that one conyo, and yung isa na kailangan ng tulong so mararanasan nila yun. This is really a feel good film pero at the same time may aral pa rin,” he shared during the Bar Boys presscon held last November 17 in Quezon city.
Unlike his role of a know-it-all law student struggling to finish school, Rocco said he has a newfound respect for the profession after shooting ended. "I can try law school but I’m sure I’ll fail (laughs). Ang hirap. You have to have a different kind of determination, focus, and drive to finish this course. It’s really hard and throughout this film ang sabi ko sa mga kinakausap kong lawyers and law students, ‘Dude, hats off to you. It’s hard to have to wake up and just know that you have to read a whole stack of cases. And not just read but understand and you have to know how to defend it.’ After understanding what they went through iba talaga. So I keep praising them. I have a different kind of respect for them now and I’m happy that I realize that through this film,” he told Push.com.ph.
After a break up with Lovi Poe earlier this year, Rocco admitted he has chosen to remain single for now. "Well yes choice ko yun eh. Ang masasabi ko lang I’m single and I’m loving it. And I’m busy with work so wala naman ako oras sa love life. Pero hindi naman ibig sabihin na single ako lagi akong mag-isa. I don’t mind dating. Marami akong kaibigan. Ganun talaga pag single marami akong nakakasama, ini-enjoy ko lang naman talaga yun. When you’re single you mingle. And nag-e-enjoy ako eh (laughs). So wala naman sigurong masama dun,” he said.
But the 29-year-old actor admits he has some prospects. "Meron siyempre pero naka-focus ako sa priorities ko. I can’t afford to be distracted at this time. I have no rooms for errors ngayon. I can’t be distracted as well,” he added.
The Bar Boys actor also said he is too busy to have a love life. "Sa tunay na buhay wala. Naku ang tunay na girlfriend ko trabaho. I’m so addicted to work ngayon. We’re busy promoting Bar Boys na matagal na naming natapos at sakto na-timing sa patapos na bar exams so ito talaga hinihintay namin throughout the year dahil we really wanted to showcase the film,” he admitted.
When asked whom he finds attractive in showbiz, Rocco was not shy to admit he was attracted to some Kapamilya actresses. "I grew up in Singapore so my second language is Mandarin Chinese so when I came back here sa Pilipinas pinasok ako agad sa Chinese school so I’ve always been smitten by chinitas. Si Kim Chiu is one of them. Maja Salvador has always caught my eye. I met Kim na while working out sa Bench fashion show. Yung sister niya na-meet ko na rin. Pero si Maja hindi pa. I think Arci Munoz is beautiful. She was our host in Star Struck eh. Si Jessy Mendiola rin of course. They’re all really beautiful so I’d love to work with them if ever given a chance. Sa drama siguro or rom-com. I’d like to play around with different kinds of roles and different love teams. Pero si Kim talaga yung nasa top of the list (laughs),” he shared.
Bar Boys will be shown starting December 7 exclusively in SM cinemas nationwide. Bar Boys is directed by Kip Oebanda under TropicFrills Film Productions and also stars Kean Cipriano, Enzo Pineda, Carlo Aquino, Anna Luna, and Hazel Faith Cruz. It is co-produced by the Rotary Club of San Miguel Makati.
