Kris Aquino to President Rodrigo Duterte: ‘Please give me a chance’

111116-KrisAquino_PUSH.jpgToday is supposed to be the first sit down interview of Kris Aquino with President Rodrigo at the National Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs’ (MSME) Summit 2016 in Davao City but the latter couldn’t make it because he isn’t feeling well. The president just got back from a two-day visit in Malaysia.

Kris however, still interviewed the businessmen present at the event. But before the interviews started, the Queen of All Media shared that she even went on diet for two weeks and her waistline is now down to 26 inches in preparation with her meeting with the president.

She also joked that she’d make her waistline smaller ‘para sa next time na pagkikita natin.”

Kris admitted that upon learning the president couldn’t make it, she asked for advice from her brother, former president Noynoy Aquino.

“Nagtanong po ako sa Kuya ko kung dapat kong ituloy, tumawag po ako at sinabi ko ‘Noy, I’m alone’ sabi ko sa kanya, ‘What do I do?’ sabi niya ‘You made a commitment, nandiyan ka for Go Negosyo, nandiyan ka because you believed in the Philippine economy at nandiyan ka because you want everybody to be included in the growth of our economy.’”

“Ganoon po ang nangyayari talaga sa trabaho namin minsan ‘yung co-star mo nagkakasakit,” she added. Kris also asked for President Rodrigo for a chance.

Hindi ko rin po alam kung dahil sa mga sitwasyon na nangyari sa ngayong linggo kaya ini-snob ako pero President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako,” she said.

This is Kris’ first TV interview after a seven-month hiatus from showbiz.
