Brandon ‘The Truth’ Vera on love: ‘I love wholeheartedly, no questions asked’

100716-BrandonVera_PUSH.jpgOn Tonight with Boy Abunda, Brandon “The Truth” Vera explained why he moved from UFC to One Championship. “Respeto talaga yung issue that I was having over UFC, hindi lang yung pera .. (it’s) how they talk to fighters. We get punched in the face for a living. So when you’re talking to us, hindi kami pwedeng bastusin. Dun sa States iba talaga the way they talk to the fighters, the way that treat the fighters…”

He said another reason for choosing One Championship is when they told him “If you fight for us your first fight will be in the Philippines.”

Brandon also gave his opinion about trash talking. “Para sa akin it has no place in the business, I would say most of the fighters who aren’t very good have to resort to trash talking.”

Asked how he loves, Brandon said, “I love wholeheartedly, no questions asked.” Has he ever cried over love? He admitted “opo, more than once.” Brandon also admits getting “basted.”

The host Boy Abunda also asked Brandon if it is okay to have sex before a fight. Brandon said, “It’s okay to have sex before a fight, even day of the fight, as long as you’re not carrying your partner around the house … kung dahan dahan lang okay lang...”

On Fast Talk, he said the person he wants to fight inside the ring is Jon Jones. And his fiercest rival is Shogun. Asked to choose between sex or chocolates, he says, “sex first.. chocolates after.” Brandon’s best time for sex is “all the time.” And he names his private part “monster.”

Brandon is doing an action-packed Erik Matti film with Anne Curtis titled Buy Bust.
