Actress Assunta de Rossi gave her thoughts regarding her younger sister Alessandra de Rossi’s decision to stay single. Alessandra made this declaration during a guest appearance on the morning show, Magandang Buhay where she vowed not to have a love life anymore.
During the press conference for Assunta’s new movie Higanti, she began by saying that they believe in traditional values. “I think kasi it boils down sa kung paano kami lumaki. ‘Yung values namin were really intact. Don’t have sex before marriage, kung gusto mong magkaanak, magpakasal ka muna, ‘yung gano’n. It’s very traditional kasi kami so kung baga, we see a lot of, especially women, na okay lang na hindi magpakasal basta may anak. We don’t want that. I’m sorry. Parang want to do that? Fine, okay lang,” she said.
She added that they are not the type to get married just to meet the expectations of society.
The actress said, “‘Yung okay lang na magpakasal or mayroong mga nagpapakasal just for the sake of getting married na kasi the clock is ticking, di ba? Tapos ‘kailangan na kailangan ko nang maghabol.’ Hindi kasi kami gano’n. So siya, sabi niya, kung hindi talaga darating ‘yung gano’n, kung talagang I’m meant to be, parang like an old maid, okay lang.
