EXCLUSIVE: Beauty Gonzalez on motherhood: ‘Nakaka-fulfill ng life’

After giving birth earlier this year, Beauty Gonzalez admitted her family life is doing well. "It was everything I wanted it to be. I’m so lucky sa asawa ko na he’s really nice to me, he’s really [nice] to our daughter. He’s the best husband I could ever have kasi I’m traveling the world with him and our daughter,” she shared during Star Cinema’s The Third Party grand presscon last September 29 inside the ABS-CBN compound.

Beauty said her baby daughter Olivia Inez has brought so much joy to her life. "You’ll never know when you’re ready eh until it’s there. When it’s there, iba yung feeling. Pagdating rewarding pala. Nakaka-fulfill ng life. She’s the cutest thing ever. She’s so fun and she’s very makulit now. She loves to crawl everywhere. Everything that she can grab, she’ll put it in her mouth. She’s eating solids na. She’s going to South America with us. We love dressing up and going abroad so everything from clothes niya to shoes niya are already ready. We always travel with our baby without a yaya pag overseas. Pero pag within the Philippines of course we want to bring a yaya. Pero pag tipong Hong Kong lang kami lang talaga (nag-aalaga). We’re planning to go to Japan this October and then I’m going to go to South America for a whole month this November just for vacation and just to go around and everything,” she explained.

After getting so many positive comments for her post-pregnancy figure, Beauty admitted it did not come easy to get sexy. "I had caesarian and it was very hard for me not to do anything for six months. It’s a lot of diet. I did a lot of workouts. Addict ako ngayon sa spinning classes which I do thrice a week. I do Pilates just to keep me slender. And I do yoga to cleanse my brain. I’ve been working so hard for this body,” she admitted.

As a mom, the 25-year-old actress said she has no regrets even after having to abruptly leave showbiz last year. "I don’t treat it as a lesson kasi I treat it as a blessing kasi I’m so happy with my daughter and she’s so beautiful and pretty. She gives me happiness, kakaibang happiness and parang since I became a mother mas nag-iba yung pananaw ko sa sarili ko, sa work ko and yung acting ko maraming nahuhugot (laughs). I’m very happy ABS-CBN still gives me good projects, good movies from Achy Breaky Heart to now Third Party and working with good actors. For me it’s still the same kasi for me walang maliit na characters sa anumang pelikula kasi depende yun kung paano mo siya i-po-portray. Kahit maliit ung character mo pero maganda naman yung pagka-portray mo, I’m sure tatatak yun sa lahat ng tao,” she shared.

The 25-year-old actress said that she really enjoyed playing Angel Locsin’s best friend in the romantic comedy The Third Party. Beauty also said that she has no added restrictions with her return to showbiz. "Sa totoo lang, I just need to make sure that I’m honest with him pag may kissing scene, love scene, and everything. Sa sarili ko din naman may mga restrictions din ako. Hindi ko kayang maghubad. Even before it’s out of my character to do those things. He’s very nice naman to me. Pag uwi he’ll just ask, ‘Nag-toothbrush ka ba? Baka may kissing scene ka.’ Mga ganun ganun lang. He’s very cool about it and he wants me to make the most of it since I got pregnant before and biglang nadehado yung career ko. Now he’s supporting me so hard and he wants me to make the most of it,” she added.
