James Reid’s big sister admits there’s definitely chemistry between her and the Till I Met You actor.
As one of the freshest new faces in showbiz today, Lauren Reid admitted it’s been a whirlwind experience ever since she decided to move to the country earlier this year. After having graced the cover of fashion magazines, she also has a Fujifilm endorsement just like her younger brother. "James is such a creative when it comes to photography. I think you can see it from his social media. He really puts a lot of thought and planning into that. Or maybe he doesn’t. It just comes naturally. But it turns out really well for him. For me, I’m more of point and shoot. If I find something beautiful or there’s a moment I want to capture then I’ll capture it in that moment. It’s brilliant. It’s really great working with Fujifilm. I use the Instax Mini very frequently actually on a daily basis. I have two of them,” she shared during the launch of Fujifilm’s Photo Diary held last October 27 in Ortigas.
Even though she and James have always been very close, Lauren said she is not the typical strict older sister. She said she has not even watched the much talked about intimate scene between James and Nadine Lustre in a recent episode of Till I Met You. "Oh geez no I actually wasn’t able to. I have been going to bed at like 8 pm every night because I’m so tired so I haven’t been able to watch Till I Met You lately,” she admitted.
After a recent photo shoot with her and JC Santos, netizens were quick to point out the strong chemistry between her and her brother’s TIMY co-star. "You know what, that may be so. It was really fun working with him. Like with JC it came very naturally to do our photo shoot together. I can understand why people are saying that. We did a campaign together (for a local clothing brand). He’s a good person. He’s a lovely person,” she admitted. But when asked if rumors were true that JC was already courting her, Lauren laughed it all off. "I have not heard the rumors (laughs). Sorry I’m not up to date. But if that’s so I don’t know what to say. But no I haven’t heard of it,” she added.
The new Fujifilm Photo Diary endorser said even though she and JC are just friends, she would look forward to getting the chance to work with him again some day. "Yeah sure. He’s hardworking and he’s a very humble person. Of course I’d work with him,” she said.
But the pretty newcomer said getting into a relationship is the last thing on her mind right now. "I am single and I plan on staying single for quite some time. I’m not dating. I’d like to focus on work right now. But who knows what will happen when it comes to love and to the heart. But at the moment it’s work for me,” she explained.
