HIGHLIGHTS: "The Other Side of Darren" Digital Concert

Last October 30, Darren Espanto embarked on his first digital concert, “The Other Side of Darren”! It promised to be an intimate and enjoyable show with the Darrenatics, as his fans are fondly called, and it sure did not disappoint.

Here are some of show’s highlights:

The explosive opening number

Darren performed Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” for his opening number. Right from the start, the young singer showcased his voice as well as his impressive dance moves. Judging by the screams of the audience, the Darrenatics definitely approved of his performance.

Interaction with fans

In between songs, Darren was able to read sweet messages from his fans watching from around the world. Darrenatics also sent in dares for him to do, which included singing the “PPAP Song” while sticking his tongue out and dancing with teen star Andrea Brilliantes, who was present to watch the concert. Two lucky fans even got the chance to have 20 seconds of eye contact with Darren himself.

Collaborations with the Darrenatics

Darren was able to collaborate with some fans through One Music’s online contests. Kate Fernando got to sing “Stuck” with Darren while Alecs Marasigan, Vernie Candare, Kaye Tumonong, and Nathaniel Porcalla got to teach him some moves and showed off their dancing skills to a Fetty Wap track.

The night’s special guest was none other than Darren’s fellow The Voice Team Sarah alum Morissette. They performed a touching rendition of Ebe Dancel and Regine Velasquez’ “Makita Kang Muli” and Meatloaf’s “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).” She also performed solo and sung “Throwback.”
