Busy with planning their upcoming wedding in Cebu this December, Kaye Abad admitted that was the reason why she and her fiancé were no-shows in this year’s Star Magic Ball. She also admitted she and Paul Jake Castillo haven’t even planned their honeymoon. "Wala pang honeymoon plans kasi sabi ko nga hindi naman kailangan. Gastos lang yun (laughs). Because I think yung mga friends niya nagpaplanong mag-out-of-the-country next year so if ever dun na lang isabay. Pero kung makabuo after agad, bakit hindi?” she told Push.com.ph.
At 34 years old, Kaye admitted her age is one of the reasons why they had such a short engagement. "Yes. Kaya niya talaga minadali yung wedding kasi gusto na niya talaga mag-baby. Kasi pina-feng shui namin yung date, binigyan kami ng October, December, January, and February. Sa October sabi no it’s too soon. December sana ayaw namin because it’s Christmas holiday. January ayaw niya kasi it’s Sinulog in Cebu so everyone’s busy. February sabi niya no more kasi matagal na masyado. So December kami,” she explained.
Kaye revealed that Paul Jake wants to have twins while she wants to have three kids at most, but they would be happy with any blessing. After the wedding, Kaye said she will move to her husband’s hometown. "We’ll definitely be based in Cebu. But since may contract pa ako with ABS-CBN and sayang din naman. Pag may work of course dito pa rin ako sa Manila so back and forth na lang siguro. Gusto ko sana focus talaga sa family. But siguro kung may time. Siguro kapag may baby na hindi na ako siguro makakapag-regular show. Siguro guestings, ganyan. But we’ll see. Kung magiging flexibile naman yung schedule. Basta kaya. Pero siyempre priority yung family kasi tagal kong pinangarap yung magkaroon ng sariling pamilya,” she explained.
In fact, Kaye admitted she has been brushing up on the local dialect already. “I’m not fluent pero nakakaintindi na. Kasi lahat sila dun Bisaya eh. So when they talk nasanay na ako, naiintindihan ko na and I have to learn kasi they only speak Bisaya or English. Hirap sila sa Tagalog,” she added.
After becoming Mrs. Paul Jake Castillo in December, Kaye said life will more or less be the same. "Wala naman siguro mababagong malaki. I think same pa rin. Siguro I have to be more responsible. Siguro yung life na I can go out any time or any day I want hindi na siguro pag nagka-baby na. Mas focused na talaga sa family so yun lang siguro magbabago,” she said. Even before she becomes s real mom, Kaye said she has no problem playing mommy roles in the future. "Yes kasi sa Tabing Ilog pa lang nag-mommy role na ako. Nanay na ako dun di ba? So ako I don’t mind. matanda na rin ako eh (laughs),” she shared.
