Star Magic Ball 2016: Stars pledge donations and support for Typhoon Lawin victims

<img src='' alt='102216-Lawin.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Over 300 Star Magic artists made time to attend thebiggest and most glamorous annual celebrity gathering of Star Magic artistsdubbed as Star Magic Ball 2016.<o:p></o:p>The premiere talent management arm’s up-and-coming,first-timers, celebrated and senior stars, along with the ABS-CBN executivesincluding Chief Content Officer Charo Santos, President Carlo Katigbak,Chairman Gabby Lopez and Head of Finance for Broadcast and News &Current Affairs Cat Lopez.<o:p></o:p>Several VIPs were also in attendance such as Sen.Sonny Angara with wife Tootsie, Sen. Grace Poe and Davao del Norte AntonLagdameo with wife Dawn Zulueta.<o:p></o:p>Some special non-Star Magic artists were alsopresent namely international racer Marlon Stockinger, TV hosts Luis Manzano(who came as Jessy Mendiola’s date) and Billy Crawford (who came as ColeenGarcia’s date), and Queen Mother Karla Estrada. <o:p></o:p>Sexy actresses Arci Muñoz and Ellen Adarna alsomade it to the event along with King and Queen of RnB Kyla and Jay-R, andMorissette Amon.<o:p></o:p>Concert King Martin Nievera once again hosted theannual celebration.<o:p></o:p>In order to aid with the assistance of thosedisplaced and affected by the Super Typhoon Lawin up north that entered thePhilippine Area of Responsibility this week, a special part of the program hadthe VIPs, celebrities and other guests pledging for donations. Amontage of greetings for the two bosses from different members of the companywas also showed to the Star Magic Ball attendees.<o:p></o:p>In line with that, young singers CJ Navato, KristelFulgar, Bailey May, Ylona Garcia, Darren Espanto and Alexa Ilacad performed aCarole King medley as a surprise tribute to the person whom people fondly callas EL3.<o:p></o:p>While seasoned performers composed of Martin,Richard Poon, KZ and new Kapamilya Jona took on the Tony Bennett medley toserenade one of Star Magic’s pillars, whom most people call as FMG.<o:p></o:p>Star Magic’s main man Johnny “Mr. M” Manahancommemorated how FMG and EL3 helped build Star Magic.<o:p></o:p>The prime and bankable Star Magic artists wereinvited during the latter part of the show, as led by Piolo Pascual, to offer atoast for the two Kapamilya executives.<o:p></o:p>Among the stars who are part of the special toastwere John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales, Xian Lim, Kim Chiu, Sam Milby, GeraldAnderson, Bea Alonzo, Maja Salvador, Zanjoe Marudo, Jodi Sta. Maria and theprime love teams of DanRich composed of Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales,LizQuen composed of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil and KathNiel composed ofKathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.<o:p></o:p>The prestigious star-studded event had thetraditional cotillion segment, which was participated in by the budding StarMagic artists and love teams while Jason Dy sang I Won’t Give Up inthe background.<o:p></o:p>The cotillion included Tommy Esguerra and MihoNishida, Sofia Andres and Diego Loyzaga, McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson, SueRamirez and Ronnie Alonte, Grae Fernandez and Kira Balinger, Nash Aguas andAlexa Ilacad.<o:p></o:p>Jersey Boys starsNyoy Volante, Markki Stroem, Bibo Reyes and Rhenwyn Gabalonzo brought a part oftheir successful show to the ball with a medley.<o:p></o:p>But the most awaited part of the night, as withprevious years, was the handing over of the special awards.<o:p></o:p>This year, Elisse Joson brought home the PondsBeautiful Belle of the Night award while John Lloyd Cruz took home the Metro andH&M Style Award.<o:p></o:p>Meanwhile the Male and Female Stars of the Nightwere Charo Santos and Gabby Lopez, while Liza Soberano and Zanjoe Marudo werehailed as Star Magic Ball 2016’s Best Dressed Stars.
