New Kapamilya JC Santos personally agrees with viewers who are more attached to his Till I Met You character Ali.
Of late, several netizens are pointing out that Ali’s character is more interesting than lead characters Iris and Basti.
“Well ako lang ah, kung hindi ako kasali sa show, ang POV ko sa character ni Ali, masyadong malakas ang kwento niya,” shared JC in an interview during the Manila Fashion Festival where he was launched as the newest face of local clothing line Folded & Hung along with Lauren Reid.
“Kahit pang dalawang episodes lang dapat ang paglabas ni Ali sa pagkasulat sa kanya. Ang lakas ng kwento niya eh, siya ‘yung mapapansin,” he explained.
“Tapos siyempre suporta pa nung dalawa,” referring to James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
But what does he think makes his character lovable?
“Nakita mo siya mula pagkabata eh. So, nakaabang ka sa buhay niya kung anong mangyayaring transitions. Tapos kung papaano ang relationship niya sa bawat characters,” presumed JC.
In fact, he even describes Ali as a “complex” character.
During last night’s episode (October 18), Ali’s father finally found out about his gender preference.
JC claimed that he never had any experience similar to that in real life, which is why, shooting that moment, for him, was “crazy.”
“Crazy. It’s crazy kasi wala naman akong preparations for dramatic scenes like that. First time everything,” he said.
If anything though, doing such a scene made JC realize how difficult it was for others or the people who actually have to come out.
“Yeah nai-imagine ko. Hindi ko ma-imagine paano sa sapatos nila. Sobrang hirap,” he said.
In the end, JC assured fans that their show is set to give more revelations.
