EXCLUSIVE: Kaye Abad shares details about her wedding in Cebu

101716-KayeAbad_PUSH.jpgAfter getting engaged to her boyfriend Paul Jake Castillo five months ago, Kaye Abad happily declared how excited she is to walk down the aisle this coming December. Kaye said she never expected wedding plans to happen so fast. “Unang una pa lang, after the engagement, pag-gising sabi niya talaga sa akin, ‘Prepare na ha as soon as possible ito.’ Yun talaga sinabi niya sa akin. So akala ko after the engagement parang relaxed lang, pag-uusapan lang yung engagement at yung nangyari like ‘how do you feel.’ Pero sabi niya, ‘Hindi, prepare na. As soon as possible ito. Talk to my mom and ayusin niya na yan.’ Yun na yung sinabi niya sa akin. So hindi ko in-expect. Kasi usually di ba one year?” she told Push.com.ph.

During her bridal shower held last October 15, Kaye revealed she has always had an idea of a dream wedding when she was younger. "Before nung bata pa ako (laughs) gusto ko malaking wedding. Kasi malaki yung family ni Paul Jake so I guess it’s going to be a big wedding,” she shared.

At the moment, Kaye said she has her hands full planning her rustic theme wedding which will be held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Cebu in December. "I’m very hands-on. As much as possible, ideas ko lahat. Ang wedding coordinator is just there to coordinate with them or kung may mga ideas ako sasabihin ko sa kanya para sabihin na lang niya dun sa suppliers. Most of it talaga ideas ko,” she added.

Although the 34-year-old actress wants things to be low-key and simple, she admitted she trusts designer Francis Libiran to make her the perfect gown.

With an expected number of 600 guests to attend the wedding, Kaye said her loved ones have been supportive of her plans. "My family and friends talaga ang lilipad (papuntang Cebu) so sabi ko talaga, ‘Test of friendship talaga ito.’ Kasi nung sinabi ko sa kanila na it’s going to be in Cebu, no questions asked sila. Nag-yes na sila to be there. Parang lahat sila pinaghahandaan nila,” she said.
