Janella Salvador talks about getting closer to her ‘Born For You’ co-star.
With her latest major endorsement aligning her with inspirational women like Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Charo Santos, Janella Salvador recalled how she felt after finding out she would be the newest Olay girl. "First of all I was surprised and very flattered when I found out I would be working with these two people. They have such big names. So I was very excited to do this campaign and they were very nice to work with and I’m very flattered. I didn’t know it was serious but being beside them is really flattering. They’re both very powerful personalities and people really look up to them and to be called a role model and an Olay girl is really something else. It makes me so happy,” she shared during the Olay Best Beautiful launch held last October 7 at Shangri-la at The Fort in Taguig city.
At 18 years old, Janella said she is already conscious of taking care of her skin. "With good skin care, you’re really going to feel beautiful. When you feel that makes you feel confident. And when you’re confident it shows. And good skin doesn’t have to be complicated. I believe while were still young we really have to take care of our skin. Take care of your skin and always remember that the best version of yourself is always achievable and the only person who can do it is you,” she explained.
During the event, Janella took the stage with her mom Jenine Desiderio who dedicated a song for her. The talented actress said she has always been thankful for the love and support of her mom. "I guess everyone knows how close me and my mom are. She’s really been there all my life and she really played a big role in me becoming who I am today,” she admitted.
With her recent finale of her teleserye with Elmo Magalona, Janella admitted she is looking forward to working with him again on another show. "After Born For You I’m actually working now on Wansapanataym with Elmo which is airing soon. We’ve become a lot closer. Malapit na mag-one year yung pagkakakilala namin and we really built a strong foundation of friendship. We’ve really grown closer and we know each other better. I didn’t know that he can actually be a joker and that he eats as much as I do (laughs),” she shared.
If given the chance, Janella said she would jump at the opportunity for a big screen project with Elmo. "Of course. We would both want to work with each other again. We really do hope it could happen again. It’s really nice working with him naman talaga,” she added.
