With her Metro Manila Film Fest film Haunted Mansion doing well at the box office, Janella Salvador said she was happy to finally see what her fans think of her film debut. "I was excited to see the reaction of the people who are going to watch and I was excited to see myself on the big screen for the first time. It’s my very, very first movie so yung feelings ko halo-halo (laughs)," she said. In fact, part of Janella's Christmas plans this year was to have a family reunion and watch the movie together with her clan.
The 17-year-old Kapamilya actress admitted that Haunted Mansion will really be a treat for horror fans this season. "Ay naku, you won’t be able to sleep alone. Or maybe you won’t be able to sleep at all! (laughs)" she said. Even though she enjoyed doing horror, Janella said she wants to try many things. "I want to try different genres. I don’t want to stay sa horror lang," she added.
Another thing Janella is looking forward to soon is her upcoming soap with Elmo Magalona called Born For You. "Actually we’ve started working with each other na sa Wansapanataym so finally naka-work ko na si Elmo. All I can say is he’s very nice, very friendly and he’s not hard to get close to," she shared.
But Janella said that working on a new show does not mean she won't miss being paired up with her other love team partners Marlo Mortel and Jerome Ponce. "Siyempre naman ma-mi-miss ko sila because I’ve been with them for like two and a half years. But then it doesn’t mean that I’m saying goodbye naman to them because this is work and I already have a personal relationship with both of them. So that doesn’t mean that that relationship will stop," she explained.
Janella said she will miss different things from the two Kapamilya heartthrobs. "Kay Jerome siguro yung pang-aasar niya talaga because he loves pissing me off (laughs) in a good way. And si Marlo naman ma-mi-miss ko yung lagi siyang natutulog sa set. I love taking pictures of Marlo when he’s asleep (laughs)," she said.
Because of their busy work schedule this month, Janella said she still owes Jerome and Marlo Christmas gifts. "Actually sobrang hirap ngayon mag-Christmas shopping pero of course bibigyan ko sila ng gift lahat," she added.
For 2016, the talented actress said she does not plan to have a specific New Year's resolution. "I don’t really have resolutions eh kasi even if I say I’m going to diet hindi mo pa rin alam ang mangyayari so I’m just going to say that I hope that I keep growing as an actress. Yun lang ang resolution ko," she said.
