<div><img src='' alt='090915-coleen_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>After being paired with Derek Ramsay in <i>Ex With Benefits,</i> Coleen Garcia was asked whether or not she wants to pattern her movie career after Anne Curtis’s and Cristine Reyes’s. Both actresses were previously paired with Derek in blockbuster films. According to Coleen, she wants to make her own mark in the industry, saying, 'Right now <i>kasi</i> I'm really experimenting so much so I don’t know <i>kung saan ako papunta, kung ano 'yung mga</i> projects <i>na susunod</i> so right now I'm just taking everything that comes and I'm taking everything step by step.”</div><div><br/></div><div>She continued, “ I'm feeling everybody naman in the industry leaves their own mark in a different way, hindi 'yung 'the next ganito', 'the next ganyan.' Everybody's different in their own way.  They do their own part, their own signature, their own way.'</div><div><br/></div><div>Coleen admitted that playing her role in the movie Ex With Benefits was such a challenge since she needs to be emotionally vulnerable which is far from who she is as a person. 'In real life <i>bato ako eh. </i>I have to be strong for so many times so<i> ako </i>in real life <i>hindi ako 'yung tipong umiiyak sa harap ng tao, hindi ako 'yung tipong nagsasabi ng</i> feelings <i>ko</i> because I taught myself to be strong [despite] everything so that’s something that was hard for me because I have a big wall.'</div><div><br/></div><div>She relayed that she needed to really focus on her character in order to produce the required emotions for the scenes. 'So it's hard because I need to break down those walls. For this project I have to be vulnerable so hindi nagwo-work sa akin 'yung nagfo-focus ako sa mga sarili kong problema. So<i> iniisip ko na lang 'yung mga in</i>stances, <i>'yung mga</i> situations if I'm this kind of person. I have to really focus on my character itself.'</div><div><br/></div><div>Was there a particular scene in the movie which she found really difficult? 'I was challenged in a lot of scenes and I feel like all the scenes that we do were necessary to the film so <i>ayun kasi </i>my character has so many stages in he life. There were times that she was so vulnerable, there was a time na parang naging ganito din siya, so everything that we did was necessary.'</div>

Coleen Garcia says she is still ‘experimenting’ when it comes to her acting career.
