Joem Bascon feels blessed to be part of ‘Pangako Sa 'Yo’
090815-joem_main.jpgAfter turning 29 last month, Joem Bascon admitted he is very happy with the way his life is going right now. The talented actor is currently busy promoting being part of the historical biopic Heneral Luna. “I'm very happy lang kasi at least nag-pa off yung hard work, minsan kailangan mong mag-pursige lang eh so ayun. Happy kami. Wala na akong hihilingin pa. I'm very happy na nandiyan na sa akin lahat,” he shared.

In Heneral Luna which opens in theaters starting September 9, Joem plays one of Heneral Luna's most trusted men. “Actually ang Heneral Luna na-shoot namin kasabay pa ng Legal Wife last year so yung post production niya is one year at the same time. Ako dito si Col. Paco Roman, ako yung right hand man ni Heneral Luna.

Apart from the movie, Joem is also busy with his role as Caloy Macaspac, the older brother of Kathryn Bernardo's role in the Primetime Bida hit Pangako Sa 'Yo. “I'm happy. I'm very blessed and feeling overwhelmed with the blessings that the network is giving me. At least di ba yearly hindi tayo nawawalan ng work so I'm very happy and to be part of Pangako Sa 'Yo is such an honor. Or pahihirapan ko pa ba buhay niya,” he said.

Joem shared how it is working with one of the top teen actresses of this generation. “She's nice.

090815-joem_main.jpgAs part of the teleserye remake, Joem said his character was expanded to show more depth in the current series. So gagawin mo talaga siya for your family na iniisip mo.

Just like his role in the show, Joem said he also values his loved ones from his family to his special someone who is now also in showbiz. “I love my mom. I love my dad. Mama's boy ako ever since. I love my girlfriend. Happing happy ako ngayon. Right now my girlfriend nag-te-taping siya sa Doble Kara. I'm very happy that she's part of the cast. I think sana magtuloy-tuloy rin yung showbiz career niya right now because it's really her first teleserye,” he said.

Even though they have been dating for four and a half years already, Joem saidthere are no marriage plans yet. “Wala pa (laughs). May usap pero right now we're more focused sa work and gusto niya maging happy ako sa work ko. Kasi pag tied up na kami both hindi na namin magagawa siya on a bigger scale kasi mas iisipin namin yung future namin.Ngayon pinag-iipunan muna namin yung mga kailangan,” he said.
