After the popular daytime series Oh My G!, ABS-CBN recently started working on a spin-off called 1G which will star Andi Eigenmann and Zanjoe Marudo in its first month. The talented actress said her newest role is very interesting. “Alam ko na magandang show yung Oh My G!, madaming sumubaybay dun kaya ayos na may spin-off tapos napabilang ako dito. Mag-asawa kami dito ni Zanjoe. Kumbaga yung Oh My G! kasi pang-teenagers siya so ito para sa mas malawak na audience kasi mas pang buong pamilya. Ipapapkita sa story namin yung struggles of being newlyweds, being in a marriage, having a child and yung hirap din ng buhay siguro na fini-face ng mga Filipino dito sa atin. Para siyang mini-series,” she shared.
Andi said fans of Oh My G! will also enjoy her first-time pairing with Zanjoe. “Matagal na kami sa ABS-CBN pareho at matagal na kaing nagkakakitaan dito. Parang siguro pareho na kaming sanay na kahit na first time lang namin magkatrabaho, okay lang yun. Siyempre iba pa rin itong show, kahit na spin-off it doesn't mean that it's going to be the same at saka kailangan labanan yung nauna eh yung job lang namin is to make sure na gagawin namin yung karapat dapat naming gawin,” she said.
After marking her father Mark Gil's first death anniversary last September 1, the Kapamilya actress admitted she has yet to totally move on. “As a family we all celebrated together nung Sunday kasi Tuesday is a school day so parang medyo mahirap magsama-sama lahat. Pero siyempre I actually tweeted and said na yung September 1 it will never be the same for me ever again for other people it's just an ordinary day pero ako parang eye-opener siya nung last year it really changed my life and the rest of my family's life also. So as much as we've been coping well and we've been happy, I have my family and we've been supporting each other through everything, masakit pa rin. Totoo pa yun na pag nawalan ka ng mahal sa buhay, kahit na anong pag-mu-move on yung subukan mong gawin, there will always be a hole there, ganun. Pero all we can do is parang at least I still have the rest of them there and we all have each other's backs and we all love each other. So yung amin, natuto na lang kami na mas maging appreciative sa kung ano yung nandiyan,” she said.
The 25-year-old actress said she is also busy preparing to move into her own condo with her little girl Ellie soon. “Palipat na ako. Sobrang (masaya). Big girl na ako. May sarili na akong bahay,” she said. When asked if her mom Jaclyn Jose would have any say in decorating her new home, Andi said she wants to furnish it herself. “Wala siyang say dun. Surprise, ipapakita ko sa kanya pag tapos na. Siyempre sarili ko na siya so yung fun part dun for her is seeing it na tapos na. Hindi pa nga niya nakikita,” she added.
Contrary to what her mom also said in a previous interview, the 1G actress says she has no love life at the moment. “Anong love life? Wala (laughs). As in wala talaga, as in zero. By choice. Mas madali ang buhay pag walang love life,” she admitted.
Does this mean she and on-and-off again beau Jake Ejercito have totally called it quits? “Wala po. Never namang bumalik yun eh. We're just friends,” she said.
