When asked about the real reasons she is leaving, Kris cleared that she has to focus on her health, recalling the time she was rushed to the emergency room for high blood pressure of 200/110.
“It demanded a lifestyle change kasi di ba dati, proud tayo talaga na, wow! I was able to work a 20-hour day. Parang feeling mo napakalaking achievement not realizing the toll it’s taking on your body,” she said, adding that she is trying to achieve a work and life balance now.
Furthermore, she said that after her latest movie Etiquette for Mistresses premiere next Wednesday, September 30, she will again start shooting for another project, “So ‘yun, that’s part of the reason why you won’t be seeing me here starting on Monday… I will also be shooting a movie which has a definite play date, Christmas day.”
When co-host Boy Abunda asked her to clarify, “Speculations na meron ka raw pinagdadaanang personal,” the Queen of All Media answered, “I think tapos na kasi natuto na kong magsurrender kay God, magsurrender sa Universe… I learned the Serenity prayer,” and read the famous prayer.
Later, the actress confirmed that her Metro Manila Film Festival entry with Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista will push through. She also said that the movie’s working title was changed from Mr. and Mrs. Split to Pamilyang Lab, Luv, Love. “Ayaw natin ng split sa Pasko, gusto natin love, love, love.”
Will this be the first time that Kris will work with the actor-turned-politician? “I think so. I don’t know kung (noong) kabataan namin, we worked together pero parang feeling ko, ito talaga ‘yung first,” was her reply.
