Veteran actor Albert Martinez's performance as the older Manuel Figueras on afternoon fantasy soap All of Me was warmly received by the viewers, including his pairing with Yen Santos.
The story is about Manuel who defies time and transforms back to his younger self just to have a second shot at love.
Albert was also recently introduced as part of the upcoming primetime soap FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin and Maja Salvador.
While many are hoping to see more of him on the soap, which also stars JM de Guzman as the young Manuel, Albert clarified that it might not be possible.
"'Yung sa 'All of Me' kasi ang talagang role ko doon is 'yung pilot week lang. 'Yung tumatakbo ngayon 'yun ang actual," he said during the grand press conference of Ang Probinsyano.
Despite this clarification, recent reports have it that Albert might be coming back to the soap due to certain "problems."
Albert said it's quite "premature" to say such things and stressed that, "Siguro mas mabuti kung hintayin nalang natin ang mga susunod na kabanata."
However, the veteran star revealed that he's very well aware of such rumors.
"Nabasa ko na 'yun eh pero depende siguro sa situation namin kasi ang problema schedule. Pero tignan natin kung ano ang mangyayari dahil baka itong mga darating na araw maayos 'rin 'yun," he said.
But is he open to returning to the show?
"Why not? It's a beautiful project and maganda naman 'yung storya," he said.
Albert along with Coco, Maja and Susan Roces will be part of the Kapamilya adaptation of Fernando Poe Jr's Ang Probinsyano which will start airing on September 28 after TV Patrol.
