On Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Sam Concepcion admitted having a late dinner date with his ex-girlfriend Jasmine Curtis-Smith, but Sam is quick to add, “we were a group.” Sam explained that they went out with the group that they are doing a stage play with.
He also admitted it is not easy being around Jasmine. “It’s not easy. With what we’ve experienced and the with the relationship that we had, it’s not easy to be around each other again.”
Asked if this means he still has feelings for Jasmine, Sam nodded. He added, “With something like that it just doesn't go away that easily. It was a very important and a very special part of me. Hindi po siya madaling kalimutan.”
Asked why the relationship ended, he said, “you can’t easily conclude really why.” To sum it up, Sam said, “Just little things that contributed to that and we were very young.”
Sam is now being linked to his co-contestant on Your Face Sounds Familiar Myrtle Sarrosa. Asked if there is a spark between him and Myrtle, “it doesn't cross my mind.” Sam also said, “In my state po, I’m not ready for anything.”
Host Kris Aquino asked Sam how he wins back a woman he once loved. Sam says, “that's something I’ve yet to figure out. I think I have to be the best version of myself.”
More pointedly, Boy Abunda asked Sam, “Would you try to win Jasmine back?” Sam answers, Yyes, I would. I don't know when it's the right time but I would.
Sam said he will also work on wooing Jasmine’s sister, Anne Curtis.
