"Heneral Luna" will represent PH in Oscar’s Foreign-Language category
092215-heneralluna.jpgJerrold Tarog’s “Heneral Luna” will represent the Philippines in the 2016 Oscars under the Foreign Language Film category.

The film, which has been receiving rave reviews from the public, has been chosen by the Film Academy of the Philippines and a committee headed by Mel Chionglo.

Other films such as Brillante Mendoza’s “Taklub” and Carlitos Siguinon-Reyna’s “Hari Ng Tondo” were also examined for the category.

Starring John Arcilla, the movie which opened in cinemas last September 9, has a reported budget of 80 million pesos.
