John Lloyd Cruz talks about ‘One More Chance’ sequel

According to the actor, he is still familiarizing himself with the new characterization of his role as Popoy. “Siyempre lahat naman ng pelikula or kahit ano na nagsisimula, medyo siyempre hindi pa masyadong familiar, hindi pa second skin,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>With fans already excited about the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster film, John Lloyd has a reminder for them. “<i>Huwag muna masyadong mataas ang</i> expectations <i>kasi </i>actually <i>mahirap eh </i>[dahil] you’re talking about eight years m<i>agmula nong nakita </i>[ang movie] n<i>g mga tao,</i>” he stated. The actor hopes that moviegoers will appreciate how the story has come to evolve. “We’re hoping <i>na kung ano man ‘yung nagawa namin and kung saan man nadala ‘yung istorya sana magustuhan nil</i>a,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>John Lloyd’s girlfriend Angelica Panganiban’s career is also soaring to greater heights playing the role of Claudia Buenavista in Pangako Sa’yo. Though John Lloyd admitted that he rarely sees the show on the television because of his hectic schedule, he knows that it is such a successful series. “I know it is such a successful show <i>pero ako</i> I’ve been working on ‘<i>yung bago</i> naming movie <i>ni Bea and hindi tayo medyo nakakapanood ng </i>TV lately.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Angelica, who was also present during the interview, admitted that the scenes are getting more challenging as the days go by in the primetime series. She said that she enjoys working with her co-stars especially with Jodi Sta. Maria (Amor Powers) who she commended as a great actress.  “Well so far <i>medyo mas mahirap na ‘yung mga scenes na ginagawa namin and nakakaaliw naman. Ako </i>so far <i>nai</i>-enjoy <i>ko kasi sobrang sarap katrabaho nong mga kasama ko don lalong lalo na si Jodi talagang sobrang giving na artista,”</i> she stated.</div><div><br/></div><div>The actress remarked that she is truly grateful to be part of the show. “<i>[Habang] patagal ng patagal naman ‘yung hirap napapalitan naman siya ng</i> excitement, <i>na sobra kang</i> grateful <i>na sobrang daming sumusuport</i>a.”</div>

John Lloyd Cruz hopes that moviegoers will appreciate how the story of Popoy and Basha in the ‘One More Chance’ sequel has evolved.
