“I’m excited to be with my son first time kaming magkasama. Actually I don’t know what to expect, just be with everyone else and really enjoy ourselves. It’s his 18th birthday in a couple of hours so you know he’s gonna be an adult as they say,” Piolo said.
As Inigo turns 18, Piolo remarked that he is thrilled for what his son is about to achieve in the industry. “I’m excited for him and I’m excited for what’s in store for him career wise. At the end of the day, you still want to be there with him throughout the way and just guide him all throughout. At least you know I’m still active now that he’s active in the business. It’s your flesh and blood that you see there, you know, walking down the aisle. Nakaka-overwhelmed but more than that I’m proud that he’s here with me tonight,” he stated.
On his advice for his son, Piolo said that he always reminds Inigo to stay grounded. “[My advice is] just keep his feet on the ground and value the people around him and do not forget where he came from. The usual values, to don’t forget his values and of course just to be grateful for all the things that come his way.”
With his dad by his side, Inigo is grateful for Piolo’s suppport. “It feels good having him to guide me. It will be harder if he wasn’t here especially that I’m starting out young, there are a lot of trials and a lot of stuff that I go through and he helps me a lot through it.”
