Singer Jovit Baldivino finally reacted to musician Wency Cornejo’s comments about him on his Facebook account early this week, following their show in General Santos City.
Wency wrote on his Facebook account, “Nag show ako kagabi sa Labangal, Gensan. It just goes to show, it is very hard to teach humility, respect and class.”
Jovit, who sang Alon’s “Pusong Bato” during the show in Gen San, said that he was surprised when an issue like this came out on social media.
When asked if somebody really came up to him during the show to ask him to change songs, Jovit confirmed that there was a man who approached him and asked if he could not sing “Pusong Bato” just two minutes before performing onstage. He later said that his CD/material was already in the tech booth.
Not understanding why he could not sing the song, he shared that he was also able to talk to the original “Pusong Bato” singer. He had not been informed that Alon, the original singer of “Pusong Bato,” was supposed to sing the same song after his performance.
Meanwhile, he thanked Alon whom he said he was able to talk to about the issue already, “Kay Sir Alon po, sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanya kasi nag-usap na po kami kanina…
