Jake Cuenca denies involvement in Enrique Gil’s alleged drunken state during ASAP London flight
091015-jake_main.jpgDuring the press conference for Pasion de Amor Book 2 this Thursday, September 10, actor Jake Cuenca cleared that he has no involvement with the recent issue that Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil allegedly got involved in an altercation on board their flight to London because he was drunk.

When asked if he was the one who invited Enrique to drink, Jake answered no. Saying that he only read about the news this morning, the actor remarked that he really got surprised when he was reportedly involved in the issue.

“Sa totoo lang, nagulat ako kasi talagang hindi ako involved sa issue… Alam ko naman po maraming beses na akong nainvolved sa mga ganyang klaseng issues pero malinis po ang kunsensya ko. Hindi po talaga ako involved.

Hindi ko kayang sabihin na nagbagong bagong buhay ako pero proud akong sabihin na dahil siguro sa girlfriend ko, marami akong old habits na natanggal,” he said.

When asked to confirm if there was really a drinking session that took place, he revealed that he was asleep during the flight.

He also did not want to elaborate on the details as he does not want to speak on behalf of the other people involved.

Ang sa’kin lang, I wasn’t involved. I think you should be interviewing the right people who are really involved in the incident and like I said, ang dami rin namang witnesses doon so like if someone is involved, you would know.”

When asked to give any advice to Enrique, he said, “Ako, ang payo ko lang naman, I know Enrique, he’s a great guy… Ako makakapagsabi Enrique has a pure heart, such a great guy and in incidents like this, sa mga okasyon na ‘to na maraming taong naiinvolve, maraming taong naagrabyado, the best thing to do at the moment in time like this is to take responsibility for your actions.

“In that sense, mayroon kang matutunan, maraming taong hindi maagrabyado… kumbaga, a journey of a boy that turns into a man, you have to go through problems like, I did. Pero kung maraming taong ngang involved, maagrabyado, the best thing to do is to just own up to your actions.”
