Francis Pangilinan considers being in the government ‘cruel and thankless’
080515-kikopangilinan_main.jpgLess than a year before the 2016 national elections happen, former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan remained uncertain if he will be seeking office once again.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s husband took to his Facebook account on Tuesday to share about his uncertainty.

“When I guested in ANC's HEADSTART the other week, Karen Davila asked me if I was going to run again and I said in so many words that public service at this point has led me to become uninspired and burned out,” he wrote.

Kiko accounted his indecision to the fact “that being in government is thankless and cruel and unforgiving.”

He continued, “After 12 years in the Senate and 1 year and 3 months holding a position in the executive department and handling agencies with very difficult challenges, one is bruised, battle scarred and yes, weary and exhausted.”

Kiko admitted that he often gets the question if he’s running again for the Senate, and according to him, “to be honest, I have no final decision.”

In the end, he poked fun of the persistent question and wrote: “Do I run for office or do I run the farm? Hahaha….hirap.”
