Donita Rose revealed that she and husband Eric Villarama decided to settle their issues and get back together. Donita admitted that they were facing problems in their marriage, but they recently decided to fix their relationship.
In an interview with showbiz site PEP, the TV host-actress revealed, “Kahit sabihing mong kasalanan niya, kasalanan ko, it doesn’t matter. We both need to humble ourselves. And so, now we talk a few times a day sa FaceTime. And we’re planning to finally, for once and for all, get back together, living in the same country na hindi puwede paganun-ganun.” Donita and her son might go to San Francisco, California where her husband is presently based or her husband might come to the Philippines.
The TV-host admitted that before they decided to fix their marriage, they almost signed divorce papers. “We were on the brink of signing divorce papers already. Yeah, ganun na kami sa isa’t isa. Lagi kaming nag-aaway and lagi kaming nagkaroon ng miscommunication, especially with the distance between us. So, minsan mas madaling bagsakan siya ng phone. So, na-build up na ‘yung galit namin sa isa’t isa. Hanggang sa I realized or we both realized that we’ve almost lost each other, and what for?"
Donita stressed that the decision to save their marriage was a mutual decision and not because they have a child. “That should never be the reason. In love naman ako sa kanya, and in love siya sa akin. Willing naman kami patawarin ang isa’t isa, but we’re taking it one step at a time. I don’t want to say na parang everything is 100 percent a bed of roses, na in every marriage, there’s going to be trials. Pero sa ngayon, and siguro for the past… since April until now, almost three months, we’ve been very happy," she further shared in the interview.
