Albert Martinez on finding new love: ‘It has not crossed my mind’
082615-albertmartinez_PUSH.jpgAlbert Martinez will be starring in the upcoming ABS-CBN TV series All Of Me. Still mourning the passing of his wife Liezl Martinez, the actor remarked that his work as an actor has helped him cope with his situation.

“Well kasi kaming mga artista, we live in parang mundo na pwede mong sabihin na fantaserye kasi hindi naman talaga namin buhay ‘yun so if you’re going through a process, ito ‘yung pinakamagandang way siguro para matanggal ‘yung iniisip mo sa ibang bagay at makapag-focus ka naman sa isang bagay na gusto mong gawin,” he said.

The actor further relayed that the story of the soap is somehow “close to home”. He stated, “I’m going through life on a day-to-day basis and I’m glad na nakagawa ako ng isang project like All Of Me kasi it helped me a lot through the process kasi ‘yung narrative nito very close to home. Napakalapit, minsan nga iniisip ko baka sinadya kaya nila ‘yun? Or talagang coincidence lang?”

Albert plays the role of Manuel Figueras who loses his wife due to a disease. Subsequently he found new love in a young woman named Lena (Yen Santos). For Albert, the story shows how someone can do everything for love. “Ako sa tingin ko kasi sa pagmamahal walang imposible, basta pag nagmahal ka you know parang you will cross bridges and mountains just for love. Puro puso ito, [ito] ‘yung serye na ginawa ko na napakaraming puso. It’s a very interesting narrative.”

When asked if in real life he is ready to find new love like his character in the soap, Albert said that it does not cross his mind at the moment. “Honestly right now it has not crossed my mind. I’m still grieving right now. Probably a year, three years, five years, ten years? I’m not closing [my doors] but as of now, it’s not even actually crossing my mind,” he stated.
