Vice Ganda reveals that a stranger helped him study from grade 3 to second-year college.
In It’s Showtime’s
advice-giving segment Madam Bertud
on August 21, host Vice Ganda decided to help send to school a 16-year-old girl who is currently on her first year in college after learning that it was her boyfriend’s parents who assist her schooling.
Vice then shared that he was once a scholar of a stranger, too, the reason why he wants to help send people to school should there be a chance. The actor-comedian said that his sponsor was a Japanese national whose address he has memorized after sending him letters. He hopes to see him one day to thank him for all his help.
From grade 3 hanggang second year college, pinag-aral niya ako.
So after seeing the girl’s will to study, he asked her if she wanted him to send her to school, to which she excitedly said yes. Vice agreed and said that they will discuss about it backstage.
