In an interview with Gov Vi with showbiz site Pep.ph, she stated, “Ano lang ‘yan, publicity. Publicity lang ‘yan. Mga puro hearsay. Thank you for considering me, pero wala ‘yung sasabihin mo na formal talk, wala. Hindi ko kinu-consider ‘yon.” She stressed that she knows how tough the job of being a vice president is so she has no plans to run for the said position. “In the first place, naka-psyche na ‘yung utak ko na wala akong plano, wala akong ambisyon. Hindi kasi madali na trabaho ‘yon. ‘Yung governor, sakripisyo na, how much more kung pag-uusapan natin na hindi biro, eh? I will not consider ‘yung sasabihin mo na may pakiusap. Hindi, eh, kasi alam ko yung kakayanan ko. That’s why, ever since, alam ko na hindi. Hindi ako prepared for that. Wala akong ambisyon, no plans, and I’m not interested because wala sa plano ko.”
Vilma relayed that she might run for the congresswoman position instead in the upcoming elections.” “I may run for Congress, kasi hindi naman siya ganoon kahigpit like 24/7, 8 days a week. Eight days a week, as in, literally, hindi ko kaya ‘yon. Pero ito [Congress ] kasi, legislative, pero not as heavy kasi batas din ito. That’s part of my learning too, pero hindi ganoon kalaki ang burden,” she said.
