With the election period coming up soon, The Voice Kids Season 2 host Luis Manzano admitted he has been getting more and more questions about running for public office. But the 35-year-old host said he is more focused on his work at the Kapamilya network this year than anything else. “Pag gumising ako na naramdaman ko na it's about time to serve then yes kaya ko na, handa na ako. Which is why it's taking me a bit too long. As of now 50-50,” he admitted during The Voice Kids Season 2 presscon held last August 19 at the Cocoon hotel in Quezon city.
When the time comes that he does run for a government position, Luis said he will not allow girlfriend Angel Locsin to donate anything financial to his campaign. The talented host shared the dynamics of his rekindled relationship with Angel. Sa akin parang as of now, ayoko talaga. Masaya rin kasi ayoko haluan ng pera yung kaming dalawa and we're both very hindi naman wise pagdating sa pera pero sabihin na natin naniniwala kami na kunwari nag-vacation kami for a while hati talaga kami as in split,” he explained.
More than the financial assistance, Luis said Angel has already offered her full support if ever he does go into politics. I'll be behind you all the way.' There are so many more instances na puwede ipakita yung pagmamahal niya pero kumbaga that may be one pero hindi lang yun yung pinaka-patunay,” he added.
With their relationship getting even more deeper, Luis doesn't deny that marriage has not been brought up between the two of them. So kumbaga emotionally we're getting there. Kung proposal nga wala pa eh,” he admitted.
When the subject of pre-nuptial agreements came up, Luis said he is not considering it at all. “May tiwala naman ako kay Angel. Tapos secondly definitely mas maraming pera sa akin si Angel kaya kong sabihin yun. Sobra. Kung ano mang meron ako katiting lang sa meron siya so ang kapal ko naman humingi ng pre-nup,” he added.
When asked to choose between politics or love, Luis said being a public figure puts him in a tricky position. “Well I'm more than sure, I'm willing to bet na pag nauna ang marriage sa political career sasabihin nila ginagamit ko. I swear din naman kapag baligtad it's politics, it's showbiz, it's people. Me and Angel, we're very content. We're very happy. Of course we're very content hindi yung, 'Ano kaya yung ginagawa niya?' Wala na kaming ganun,” he admitted.
